Features of Professor Zhixiang Gao Acupuncture Course:
The second international image medicine training class in Beijing Kundawell Medicine Institute has been open for nearly one month, and there is a professor over seventy-year-old, whose lecture was highly appreciated by students, with warm and lasting applause each class. He is Professor Zhixiang Gao, as well as Kundawell vice-president, and he taught the students acupuncture.
1. Lively teaching breaks the barriers of language and culture
A lot of foreign students learned traditional Chinese medicine for the first time, and due to the differences of language and culture, they were afraid that it was hard to understand and accept. But professor Gao’s lecture was lively and intelligible so that each student were great interested in the magic Chinese medicine after two classes. At the beginning of the class, with the welcoming applause, professor Gao was talking about “applauding fitness” which said that five fingers attached five internal organs, the left hand for Yang, the right hand for Yin. Yin and Yang being harmonious mean morality, and both hands touched exactly……. It made students so passionate. So it was so close relationship between traditional Chinese medicine and human life. From then on, every beginning and end of class was all full of students’ long warm applauses.
Professor Gao was good at the methods of traditional Chinese medicine and Qigong to develop intellect of young people, prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases of old people, and combat the “three high”(high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and high blood fat). He also made use of acupuncture and diet to reduce weight and cure stubborn disease. All of these obtained magic effects, not only owned great attention of Chinese scientific community and the support of government, but also attracted much more attention of the world. Program of intellectual development about “developing intellect and improving eyesight for young” has been prevalent in 26 provinces and cities in china.
Professor Gao was very popular in the whole world for his lively lecture and rich teaching experience. He has been to U.S, Taiwan, Canada, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia, Singapore and other 32 countries and regions to deliver lectures, spreading the methods of intellectual development as well as the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, hypertension, high cholesterol, high blood sugar, adiposity and other problems. As a result, he summarized and created a series of skills preserving health and preventing disease which were easy to learn, safe, reliable and benefited for life.
2. Famous medicine master passed on the real ability to students to grasp the essential treatment of traditional Chinese medicine.
Professor Gao has a great attainment on traditional Chinese medicine. He learned traditional Chinese medicine and Qigong from his grandfather when he was young, being the eleventh generation of ancestral Chinese acupuncture. Later he studied from Professor Kuishan Zheng a famous experts of acupuncture and Professor Bingkui Lu the Director General in Chinese Ministry of Health and well-known experts of TCM.
Acupuncture is very popular. Professor Gao taught the students from the twelve meridians, making sure them understand the relationship between acupuncture point and human body. Then he taught the rules and the methods of acupuncture, and at last patiently and systematically showed the role of important points according to the circled meridian system. At the same time, professor Gao also displayed acupuncture for students in class. The students showed great interest and were also very brave, some students experienced an acupuncture treatment on his own body, some others practiced with each other, and many other students invited professor Gao to do acupuncture on themselves, feeling “vitality”. The students felt very happy.
Students reflected that there was such a good and experienced professor giving us lectures that we not only learned traditional Chinese medicine, but also grasped the skills easy, simple and effective really, which made us feel fortunate and happy. Traditional Chinese medicine is so amazing! Too amazing! It is so convenient only massage and acupuncture on some certain point without medicine or injection if someone gets a toothache or a headache.
“Bigu”, getting rid of grains, is a very effective way to persevering health, bodybuilding and preventing disease. Professor Gao usually used this method to cure illness during delivering lectures overseas, and he passed on this method to the students. “Bigu” which means getting rid of grains, through acupuncture and some related practice. People first pain attention to run Meridian (the pathway of vital energy in human body), firmly balance and strengthen the body’s internal organs, and absorb the universal energy to supply human body during the days for “Bigu”. So, people do not only feel hungry and week, but felt better and better within these 10 or even more days. Many patients return to normal diet step by step and find lots of diseases in their bodies disappearing magically after ending “Bigu”.
Ninety-five percent of the students wanted to take part in the practice, after listening to the method of persevering health by “Bigu”. So professor Gao diagnosed each student to assess whether they fit to “Bigu”. Then he explained how to enter the state of “Bigu”, what kinds of matters they should care about during “Bigu” and how to begin to eat the normal diet again, etc. Most of the students have mastered the method of “Bigu”, and they all said they felt very well after practicing for 3 or 5 days, not only a few pounds of body weight lost, but also high blood pressure and hyperlipidemia coming down wonderfully. Some students gained magic effect after insisting on “Bigu” for more than ten days.
3. With profound knowledge, professor Gao lead the students to understand the culture of traditional Chinese medicine
Traditional Chinese medicine is not only a subject for health-care, but also an important element of traditional Chinese culture. Professor Gao has profound knowledge, whose lecture with deep cultural Connotation often gives people impressive inspiration, just as the follows:
“If number stands for the all, then your wealth, status and glory can be represented by 0, while health by 1.If one holds the 1 first, 0 behind it can be numerous, and it will be meaningful. But without the 1, what is the use with so more 0”.
“Which kind of life is happy and meaningful? Chinese ancestors advanced a standard as early as two thousand and five hundred years ago, which is Wufu including longevity, wealth, health, good virtue and natural death.” If people can achieve Wufu as the above, their life can be called happy and meaningful.
“The fundamental life principle is to pursue health and preserving health positively. There are many ways for preserving health. Laozi, a very famous Chinese ancient Daoism expert, said the real way is a very simple way. WHO also brought forward the development direction of the twenty-one century medicine, just like three main points: first without pain, second no side-effect, third everyone can grasp. In accordance with this principle, combining with traditional Chinese methods of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, We summed up a complete and simple exercise way, through which we can achieve the balance of organs, so as to achieve psychological balance and realize perfect health and Wufu.”
Learning from professor Gao, students do not only gained the rich knowledge about traditional Chinese Medicine, but also comprehend traditional Chinese culture and are edified by the eastern civilization.
